What it is
The German maternity system, brought into focus
Being pregnant in Germany, far from home and often in a second language, can leave you holding more questions than answers. The system is thorough, but it is rarely explained, and there is not always someone to ask.
An Orientation Consultation is one unhurried hour, by video, to change that. We start from wherever you are right now, make sense of what is in front of you, and leave you clearer, with a plan you can act on.
This is for families anywhere in Germany. My hands-on, in-person doula work is rooted in Potsdam and the Berlin and Brandenburg region, but the consultation is online and for you wherever you live. It is a practical, low-commitment way to feel steady, drawing on my doula training and my own experience of navigating this system as an international mum.

Opening after our soft launch
The orientation consultation opens once we are past our soft summer launch. In the meantime you are welcome to a complimentary 30-minute video call.

Your gynaecologist and midwife (Hebamme) lead your clinical care, and this hour sits alongside them, never in place of them. What I bring is information, and an understanding of the system that is both lived and trained. If something would be better met by a clinician or another professional, I will say so, and help you find the right person.
